nsif 2023 EVENTS ROUND UP

We were delighted to be able to hold our two annual fundraising events this summer, catching up with many of our fantastic supporters and raising money to support our continued ambition to develop a cure for paralysis through SCI.

We started with our Clay Pigeon Flush in June, hosted by Pennsport’s Founder Nick Penn, set in the beautiful Berkshire countryside whereby the competition took place across seven stands. A wonderful post-shoot lunch was enjoyed by all, followed by our live charity auction.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Nick Penn and Thomas Forrester for putting on such a memorable and enriching day, and to all our trustees and supporters who joined us at our fifth annual pigeon shoot. You have helped raise £32,000 profit and your generosity will help enormously in helping us fund the continuation of our research.

We are truly grateful for every drop of support, past, present and future.

We finished our events calendar with our 17th annual Golf Day, held at the stunning Oxfordshire Golf Hotel and Spa where your support helped us raise over £80,000 profit. Kicking off day one, guests enjoyed a wonderful four course gala dinner followed by our live auction. This saw a handful of lucky guests leaving with one-of-a-kind getaways, dining experiences, among other money-can’t-buy prizes. The following day saw our competition begin; our guests played head-to-head over eighteen holes for the top spot.

The event was full of competitive flair, laughs and most importantly a shared passion and admiration for supporting NSIF’s life changing ambition.
