On the 13th August, in partnership with Guards Polo Club, nsif hosted a day of polo and fundraising, with all profits going to support the work of Prof. Geoffrey Raisman and Dr Pawel Tabakow, along with their teams. The weather was variable but the polo, fortunately, was consistently brilliant – a mesmerising sport to watch!
We want to say a big thank you to everyone who took part and especially the glamorous ladies of Penshurst. A group of supporters from this Kent village came out in force to support the charity, having organised a bus to bring them for the day, and proved to be an unbeatable force in the charity auction! They generously donated over £4,500 in total towards finding a cure for spinal cord injury – a terrific contribution.
The day was a brilliant introduction to the world of polo for nsif and we can’t wait for next year’s event. We look forward to sharing more details about the 2016 Guards Polo Club fundraising spectacular soon.
We were very excited that the event was featured in the Polo Times! Read the article here.
