Jennifer started her career with the BBC as a presenter and went on to work in various films and TV. She also worked as a photographic model involved with London Fashion Week. It was during the filming of a series called The Caesars at Granada TV that she met Eddy Shah. Following the sale of Eddy’s newspapers they entered into partnership both privately and professionally, owning and managing golf and country clubs with hotels in East Anglia. Following extensive lifesaving radiation therapy 22 years ago, Jennifer now walks with the aid of crutches and relies on a wheelchair to get around.
“When we read about nsif funding stem cell research it seemed to offer an opportunity to play a part in one of the most exciting medical advances of the century. Sadly the treatment will not benefit me but Eddy and I are totally committed towards helping Daniel and others regain their independence.”
