Scottish by birth, Gordon was raised in England. At the age of 15 he was signed to play football for Glasgow Rangers but three years later he returned to college to complete a course in hotel management.
His success is worldwide following the opening of restaurants in London, New York, Dubai, Tokyo, Florida and Los Angeles. His many books have been also been successfully published all over the world. He has won numerous awards including an array of Michelin stars and his television shows are seen in the US as well as at home in England.
In 2005 Gordon was awarded OBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List.
