Claire Lomas was an extremely talented event rider, who has produced horses and competed at 4* level. Claire had a freak accident while competing at Osberton Horse Trials in May 2007. Since her accident Claire has worked tirelessly to raise money and awareness about spinal injuries.
In May 2012 she walked the London Marathon in a robotic suite, and didn’t stop there. The 2013 challenge saw Claire take on a 400 mile hand-cycle, visiting schools and talking to children en-route. At the finish on 13 May, she had raised £75,000.
Claire has now raised hundreds of thousands to support spinal injuries charities, and regularly hosts events on behalf of The Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation.
