As the only son of Swiss restaurateurs Anton Mosimann’s career was designated almost from birth. His earliest childhood memories are of food and he was greatly influenced by the cooking of his parents; coming home from school to the smell of fresh produce being prepared in the kitchen thrilled and delighted him. At age 15 he began an apprenticeship that led eventually to an illustrious career cooking in Italy, Canada and Japan. His subsequent stewardship at the Dorchester in London brought him great success where he stayed for 13 years and as a result of his skill and energy the hotel was awarded two Michelin stars. In 1988 Anton set up Mosimann’s Private Dining Club in London where he continues his search for excellence.
Anton was awarded OBE in 2004 and to add to his collection of international accolades was awarded the highly prestigious Officer of the National Order of Merit from France in 2006.
