Hello nsif Family!
My name is Pan and I am proud to be the newest member of the NSIF team. I am joining as a Social Media Ambassador, helping further the reach of our message across all of our platforms as well as raise money to continue our life-changing research. I will be helping with social media content, branching our content out to new platforms, helping with fundraising ideas as well as general day-to-day operations.
My passion for science started when I was very young. Beginning with my father, who is suffering from a cyst in his brain, causing seizures and epilepsy among other issues. This ignited a passion, I wanted to learn the how and why of what went wrong. Throughout school, my love for subject grew, particularly biology for which I received an award for my excelling interest.
This passion for science would continue after school and throughout my life. While at college studying software, I held a position as an Optical Assistant, assisting people of all ages and walks of life through their treatment. Later, I worked as a Pharmaceutical Assistant. I was quickly diagnosing illness and injury, recommending medication, and writing the prescriptions of the customers’ day-to-day medication.
This experience in the sciences coupled with my interest in information technology has led me to nsif. I could not be happier to be in a position that is the culmination of my interests. I’m excited for our future work, sharing our message and helping to curate valuable scientific projects to help those with spinal cord injury.
Outside of work, I enjoy music, gaming and technology. I am a technology creative, making music, videos, digital art, and creating programs. When not at the computer, I play basketball, hockey, cycle, and love visiting new places.
