Since its inception in 2005, nsif has been a “home-working” organisation. This has many advantages: it kept costs down and forced its employees to come to terms with modern concepts such as “remote conferencing” and “the cloud”. However as one author knew, “all things must change, to something new, something strange”.
While being a home-based organisation has been a brilliant way for nsif to operate in its fledgling years, allowing it to raise and donate significant funds towards medical research, the thrilling progress of our scientists means it is time for nsif to grow, and move. But while the administrative team embraces a more traditional, office-based arrangement, let us hope the scientists keep moving forwards…to something new, something strange.
