‘A Not So Silent Night’ Christmas fundraiser

On Tuesday 29th November we kicked off the festive season with our first ever Christmas fundraising event, ‘A Not So Silent Night’. Over 150 guests turned out to support us and raise the roof with some lively carols, animated readings and beautiful choir solos.

Readings included Ring Out Wild Bells read by our own trustee Helen Fospero, 12 Days of Christmas read by nsif patron Jeffrey Archer, verses from Luke were read by Lady Noelle Leitch and Twas the Night before Christmas was read by Nigel Hadden-Paton. The congregation were lead through our favourite carols, by the fantastic choir Walton Voices. Favourites included Good King Wenceslas and O Come All Ye Faithful which were enhanced even further by the choir’s descant stylings.

After the concert, drinks and canapés provided by Baxter Storey were enjoyed by all. Guests had a chance to mingle whilst sipping on a festive glass of mulled wine. Numerous attendees seized this opportunity to purchase a copy of Yvonne William’s self-published cookery book. With all proceeds going to nsif it a fantastic way to show further support for the charity. For all those struggling to come up with last minute stocking fillers – copies are still available here.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and all those who gave their time and voices to make the evening the special occasion it was. Thank you also to our sponsors Beavis Morgan and Baxter Storey.
