What an amazing night was had on Saturday 1st February at the The Grandstand, Newbury Racecourse, says NSIF patron Claire Lomas.
Claire hosted “Bucking Fun”, where a team of eventers faced down a team of jockeys to see who had the best “stickablity” on a rodeo horse.
The evening raised a fantastic £10,000 to support scientific research and eventer Laura Collett proved her rodeo skills by beating all the other entrants to stay on the horse for over 6 minutes! She was so good she was eventually allowed to dismount rather than being kicked off.
